Prevent costly engine damage: This high-quality motor oil pump is designed for all 2.0L TDI engines of the VAG group with balance shaft module. A worn oil pump can lead to significant engine damage due to oil pressure fluctuations, which can culminate in total engine failure. The wear on the pump gears can cause a sharp drop in oil pressure, preventing essential engine components from operating correctly. Reduced lubrication accelerates wear further. This issue often goes unnoticed as the oil pressure warning light may not alert the driver (the oil pump generates just enough pressure to deactivate the warning light but not enough to ensure proper engine lubrication).
Visual comparison: A picture in the article shows the internal components of a worn versus a new oil pump. This comparison clearly shows how fragments have been eroded from the surface, leading to uneven wear and internal leakage within the pump. This leakage cannot be detected by checking the flank clearance, often resulting in supposedly functional oil pumps being left in the engine during repairs.
Addressing design weaknesses: A critical design flaw in these pumps is the drive coupling and its configuration. In our online shop, we offer an improved version of the drive coupling, which we recommend replacing together with the oil pump. The part number for this improved drive coupling is 1000107.

We are aware of three basic constructions of this oil pump. Here we explain the differences:
The first generation includes OEM numbers 03G115105B to 03G115105H. The OEM number 03G115105A also belongs to the first generation but has a slightly different casting shape.
If your engine has the oil pump with the number 03G115105A installed, you must order the mounting screw with the MMHP part number 1001150. The pump we supply does not match this particular design but can be installed without issue using the appropriate screw.
Oil pumps with OEM numbers 03L115105D and 03L115105E are equipped with an additional pressure valve. Therefore, only the oil pump with the MMHP part number 1001127 fits here.
